Vita Ita! was founded by aspiring linguist Truth Grant after he searched for a local Italian community in Tulsa and realized—there wasn’t one. Instead of giving up, he decided to create the community he was looking for. Thus, Vita Ita! was born: a culture club dedicated to celebrating the language, culture, and history of Italy.

Hosted in-person at the local library in Brookside (Tulsa, OK) and also online, Vita Ita! offers a welcoming space for anyone who loves Italy or wants to learn more. Meetings feature language practice, cultural presentations, book club discussions, and opportunities to grow together through conversation and curiosity. The club also hosts events, themed parties, and field trips to deepen the experience and bring people together in joyful, authentic ways.

At its heart, Vita Ita! is about building something meaningful—a vibrant Italian-speaking community in Tulsa, where language is celebrated as a bridge to connection, culture, and lifelong learning. Truth believes that the richness of Italian culture can positively influence Tulsa, bringing beauty, tradition, and a little la dolce vita to everyday life.
