Welcome to Gusti Il Dolce Italia, a day dedicated to the joyful spirit of Italy, where every treat tells a story and every bite brings us closer together. Whether you’re a longtime member of Vita Ita! or someone just discovering us, this is the perfect chance to experience the warmth and flavor of Italian culture—one pastry at a time.
🍰 What’s on the Menu?
We’ve crafted a lineup of authentic homemade Italian sweets, baked with love by our club members. These aren’t just desserts—they’re traditions.
Mini Cannoli – Crisp shells filled with sweetened ricotta, chocolate chips & a kiss of orange zest
Tiramisu Cups – Layers of mascarpone cream, espresso-soaked ladyfingers, and cocoa magic
Amaretti Cookies – Chewy almond bites, naturally gluten-free and full of old-world charm
Lemon Ricotta Cake – A moist, citrus-kissed slice of sunshine

Join Vita Ita! for a vibrant day of sun, swimming, and summer joy at Oologah Lake! We’re bringing a little slice of the Italian coast right to Oklahoma for a special lakeside celebration filled with laughter, community, and culture.
🏖️ What to Expect:
Relax under the sun with a plate of delicious cibo estivo italiano (Italian summer food), including refreshing pasta salads, bruschetta, and icy Italian sodas. Play traditional Italian lawn and beach games like bocce and scopa, or simply stretch out and catch a golden tan on the shore.
💦 Activities Include:
Swimming and floating in the lake
Italian music and dancing
Group games for all ages
A small cultural trivia contest with prizes!
🍉 Food and drinks will be provided! Just bring yourself, your towel, and your sunblock.

A Vita Ita! Cultural Field Trip to Krebes, Oklahoma
📅 Saturday, August 30th, 2025 | ⏰ All-Day Event | 🚌 Departs from Tulsa at 8:00 AM
Join Vita Ita! for an unforgettable full-day adventure to Krebes, Oklahoma, a charming prairie town with deep Italian-American roots. Just a two-hour drive from Tulsa, Krebes offers a unique glimpse into the legacy of Italian immigrants who brought their traditions, flavors, and stories to the heart of Oklahoma.
Our day begins with an early morning departure, followed by a scenic drive set to curated Italian music and games. Upon arrival, we’ll explore Krebes with a guided walking tour, visiting historic landmarks like St. Lucia’s Chapel, the original Bellini Bakery, and the iconic Olive Tree Square. Afterward, we’ll relax in Lucia Park for a traditional Italian picnic lunch, complete with focaccia, caprese, granita, and classic lawn games like bocce ball.
In the afternoon, dive deeper into culture with a language and dialect workshop, then step back in time during our visit to the Krebes Heritage Museum, filled with heirlooms, photos, and stories from the Italian families who helped build the town. Later, we’ll take a sweet break at Caffè di Rosa, where you’ll enjoy espresso and pastries before ending the day with a live Italian folk music performance, dancing, and a toast with Krebes locals in the town square.
This is more than a field trip—it’s a celebration of identity, language, and the power of community. Little Italy on the Prairie is perfect for lovers of history, Italian culture, and anyone curious about how old-world traditions thrive in new places.
